Over the weekend (January 12 & 13) we were treated to cold, freezing fog and frosty conditions. These are some scenes captured in northeast Salem, Oregon. I'm curious as to whether or not this frost is RIME frost? According to the information that I could find, rime frost is caused when there are weather conditions that include freezing fog and a slight breeze; the exact conditions that we experienced over the weekend. We've lived in Salem over thirty years and have never seen this type of frost, so this was a real treat!!!
