I have never thought the idea of labeling your spot for watching the parade was appropriate. Part of the fun was going early, visiting with relatives and trying to be the first to see the parade coming. It was probably a 2 hour wait but well worth.
What was the name of Heck Harper's horse?
His horse's name was Jody, I think.
