I know it was used for lifting shakes, and doing heavy work.

Larry served asa pilot in the Vietnam war and is a very skilled pilot.
we never got a "free ride" we had to work for it by learning aircraft safety and well A video dubbed " hamburger Bob " as we caled it? it was what happened when people well for the better part..failed to recognize spinning propellers. .
Graphic yes, did it prevent us from getting killed? yes. was it necessary, yes.
We have a deeper appreciation for these machines and those that fly them
Helicopters are among the most difficult to learn to fly.
