This one is for the keep! Finally, I got the one I'll eat. Yeaaahh! After a long day working, when I was about to get a break to eat something, my friend Pedro came home and ask if I wanted to go fishing, today. That was about 5 pm, so I said yes why not! He looked at a calendar that gives you the days the fishing are biting, and today wasn't marked as good for biting. But, he got a hunch, and we got ready to go. Got there by 5:45 pm and by 6 pm we have our hooks in the water. Two fishermen (one was a woman) has, already caught one salmon each, and three others got theirs in the morning. So, it look like we were at the right place at the right time. Great! At 7:25 pm my line got a hit, the bell start to sound like crazy, I give it a quick pull to my rod and grab it. Start reeling that fish as fast as I can until I brought it to the shore where my friend Pedro got it into the net and off the water. Besides the heavy fight, it wasn;'t as hard as yesterday, because I changed the left hand reel for my own right handed Okuma reel with a 20 lbs line I bought at Big 5, and was really comfortable to reel that 18 lbs Spring Chinook king salmon in about 5 minutes fight. We left by 8:30 pm. Isn't that gorgeous? We are going tomorrow, again. Hopefully, we can catch more salmon.
Two days, two Springers!
