Unusual sunset contrails

Strange vertical contrails

Just after 9 p.m. Wednesday 6/5, I stepped outside my trailer near Lake Merwin (south of Mt. St. Helens) and saw these strange dark contrails to the NW. The vertical filaments, especially, are unlike any contrails I've ever seen. I took several pictures, both wide-angle and telephoto.

i saw them too, they were from planes but they weren't the normal white smoke they usually "draw" with. I saw one start over mt. hood and it started off very very small and then got longer as the evening went on, not fast like a plane. weird.
