Full Sun Halo

Full Sun Halo

Recovering from shoulder surgery I decided to go outside and soak up the sunshine. As I laid back an looked up at the sky I noticed a Sun Halo forming. By time I walked back outside from grabbing a camera it was quickly forming in to a full Sun Halo. Using an expandable camera and holding it with my gimp arm I took a series of pictures and captured this decent photo. What a great way to start the warm weekend.

Sun Halo's are an optical illusion created by the sunlight refracting through ice crystals in the Troposphere. This is also known as a 22° halo.
