I wou ld like to say thank you to Troy the person who has a "DIY" channel on you tube about "Off Grid Livng" and" Prepping."
in the kit came batteries, a spot light, 2 cabinet lights, 2 stair lights, and a ceiling mounted light and all tje batteries for them.
They will be well used.
The spot light will come in handy so safety out doors in case of power outages.
later I hope to demonstrate just how effecti ve these can be.
the kit also came with a Solar battery charger.
That charges cylderical and some wierd new (GUM) or Prismatic batteries which are relatively new and soon will become the battery for net books and other devices.
the charger its self will charge batteries ranging for 2hours 11hours depending on the strength of the sun and how many Mah the batteries are.
This makes it handy to charge for a flash light . the down side is it only charges 2 of each type so I can I sert 2 AA and 2d cells aand charce those or I can charge 2 C cells and two D cells . or I can charge 2 AAA AND 2 D cells, the D cells have a separate charging area.
now there is a trick you can get a battery converter that will change the size of the size battery and charge them that way.
Prismatic batteries seem to be an entire beast all together. the range 600 mA up to 1,750 mA.and can takem up to 11 hours to charge.
So this story is about the good things that can happen.
Tenergy batteries are a special low self discharge battery that can be stored up to one year and still have nearly all there life.
They used in emergency lighting systems and (robotics or is it toys as there is a robot picture) they are 1.2 volts and are 4,000 mAH.
