The core of the tree is still burning several hours after a lightning bolt at 2:45 this morning woke up my family.
In the video you can see the core of the tree hollowed out with fire and flames still burning over 4 hours later.
It's in a field just below our house here in Battleground. The bolt shook the house only 300 feet away and scared our 3 kids to into bed with us.
