Larch Mountain Road to Larch Mountain’s summit is open after Multnomah County removed the seasonal snow gates installed seven months ago at milepost 10 last week.

The county reopened the road late this year because of deeper snowpack and numerous downed trees blocking the road, according to Multnomah County’s press release dated July 1.

Last year the road reopened and the snow gates were removed mid May.
