A small fire on the eastern slopes of the Mt. Hood National Forest is 100 percent contained, as reported by the Mt. Hood National Forest Fire Management and the Northwest Interagency Coordination Center today.
The Badger Fire scorched approximately 15 to 20 acres of wilderness land in the Badger Creek Wilderness about ten miles west-northwest of Wamic Ore.
Fire crews are using the nearby and unscathed Bonney Crossing campground for crew staging.
Investigation continues on the cause of the fire.
