First and formost let me say that for now i ak not try to go off grid or anything like that as of yet.
I just want to share with you some of the things you can do using even 45 watt units.
One thing that you can use with these is run a small inverter connected to a battery and run a small crockpot if need be during a power outage.
The other thing you can do with this particular set up is
Use 12 volt hallogen lamps in this case 60 watts each and the are self balasting as well.
The other thing you can do with this set up is charge a car battery.
The other thing you. An connect to the unit are small battery chargers and small radios or what ever you need to.run incase of.an emergencey or out camping.
This unit can opperate a small 12 volt fridge.
There are a lot of grest things one can do with solar.
All you need to do is invest, plan, and dare to dream and dare to do things differently.
Solar is not what it once was. There are many cell types.
Anamorphic cells are.best in this area as they charge on cloudy days. Monocrystalines give you high output but only on bright suny days.
The more panels you have the higher wattage you can go.
There are 6,12,24,48, setups. Each has there own stregnths and weaknesses.
The biggest cost will be you battery bank.
and I would sugest getting golf cart batteries.
Next there are a few things you need to be mindfull of.
Solar Panels are delicate.
High heat can reduse your panels productivity and some.people go as far as to add fans to cool there panels.
This hobby and adventure is not for all.
So, it is ok not to want to do this kind of thing.
