11/17/2006 - Irene Rickey

On Nov. 5, Irene Rickey weathered the perfect storm. With wind gusts exceeding 50 mph and a sea lion on the fish's tail, she beat the odds and landed this 37-pound Chinook on the Yaquina River. Her first fish ever and it was her birthday. Her friend Deb Garner also caught an 18-pound Chinook. Photo's by Velvet Touch Guide Service.
