Joelle Robinson

Joelle Robinson from the National Wildlife Federation fished the Sandy River on a recent visit to Portland in early March.  This was her first steelhead which was landed on a drifted pink Corkie.  She went on to land three additional steelies that morning, all of which were quickly released.

(You can see a bite from a sea lion on the belly of the fish.  These critters are patrolling the mouth of the Sandy gathering an easy meal from these protected and valuable fish.)
