It's down!

The Bomber is Down!

Art Lacey's B'17 Bomber, a landmark on S.E. McLoughlin since 1947, has been lowered in preparation for dismantling and transport to the Aurora, Oregon airport hanger to be completely restored and made to fly once again.

I was told it will be about another month before Emmert Industries moves it to Aurora. Should be a piece of cake for Emmert since they moved The Spruce Goose to McMinnville some years ago.

Sure will enjoy seeing this old bird fly once again in a few years.
