To my surprise, I caught this beautiful rainbow trout at Clear Lake (in the Mt. Hood National Forest) back on June 22, 2008. I caught it from the bank using green power eggs with a number #10 hook on 3 lb. test. It took about ten minutes to land it. The trout measured just under 25 1/4 inches long, and weighed almost 10 pounds! More trophy-sized trout will be stocked in Clear Lake sometime in August -- so get those rods ready!
