Police Cover the Room

Stand Off At Ranch Inn Motel

Sometime before 7pm police surround the Ranch Inn Motel with assault rifles and beanbag rifles drawn. At approximately 7:15pm suspect sticks his head out the door, police command him to come out with his hands up and then fire a beanbag into the room. At approximately 7:50pm suspect comes out voluntarily with his hands up and police arrest him and search his room.

I too think it's pretty rediculous that so many cops wasted time and money that could've been spent catching real criminals. I wonder how many assults and robberies took place during this rediculous stand off.

I also saw that one. Too bad they didn't just drop the guy and quit wasting money and time on these losers. There were 12-15 police for over an hour that probably cost the city several thousand dollars. One .223 round cost $0.29.

I think its great that they were able to take a guy who was going to hurt himself or others into custody without any negative outcome. People in portland need to give these officers a break- they are trying to do the right thing.

Well, it's a good thing you didn't use a video camera or cell phone video to capture these images with sound or the cops would have arrested you too, just as they did that poor young man the other day. It's ridiculous that you can't tape audio too
