That is a shelf cloud, the formation associated with supercell thunderstorms. I don't remember anything on August 30... Nice capture! hope we get more severe thunderstorms soon!

Great shot! The main thing to look for in these kinds of clouds is rotation - that's a dead give away that a tornado could form.

that is one amazing cloud! We do get some incredible clouds in the NW
