The Washington State record for Rainbow Trout is 25 lbs 11 oz.
I fished over the Labor Day weekend in Lake Diefenbacher with Adam and Sean Konrad, who hold the current world record Rainbow @ 43.5 lbs.
We caught three trout, weighing respectively,
31 lbs
37 lbs
39 lbs
They were caught on 12 lb tackle.
All three were sucessfully netted, taped, measured, weighed, revived, and released unharmed. I have the DVD to prove it.
This is the most magnificent fishing experience of my entire life.
