Hurricane Omar has been upgraded to a Category 3 Hurricane. With winds of 115 mph as of 11 pm EDT, 8 pm PDT. A Category 3 is a Major Hurricane. St. Croix has missed the compact hurricane force wind field. Next in the line of fire is Anguilla. Omar is continuing to stregthen farther.

Kind of makes you glad to live in the Great Northwest where there are no hurricanes and very few tornadoes.
