Annoyance Factor

Annoyance Factor

Dear Sirs:

The Annoyance Factor:

As a responsible voter, I acquaint myself with the candidates and issues, read the voter’s pamphlet and make sure that I know the positions. Why then do local politicians send all of this material? The attachment is a photo of just today’s mail.

At this end stage of this long, long campaign season, I’d rather see a candidate mail me a small postcard which says that, in lieu of expensive, four color, die-cut mailing pieces, a donation has been made to a local charity or need. That would be refreshing!

The mail doesn't bother me so much I can just throw that away. Trying to watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune bother me because every commercial it seems is about the vote! Then the other night at 8:45p Jeff Merkley called me!
