And, guess who showed up? It was in Oregon City at the rather nondescript and dumpy Merkley campaign office at 619 Madison in Oregon City.
B.O. was there. Joe-the-Biden was there.
And, I was there.
Oh, and Senator Gordon Smith was there "in spirit" since his campaign lawn sign was prominently displayed on the back of my camper.
It was parked right across the street from the Merkley office for all to see as they came and went. I heard they had a great tunout there.
I must say the McCain/Palin office at 275 Beavercreek Rd in Oregon City was much nicer, better organized and much larger.
I was warm and dry inside my camper, drinking Alaskan Summer Ales and smoking cigars. Please don't tell my wife about the cigars. She'll kill me.
