A newer Ford Explorer was driven right through a brick wall at the Big 5 Sporting Goods store in Gladstone today. Apparently, the elderly gentleman who drove about 50 feet into the store had wet shoes that slipped off the brake pedal and mashed down the gas pedal.
Those Ford Explorers must be built like Superman to withstand crashing through a brick wall like that and continue into the store.
What do you bet they install a safety barrier post in front of that parking spot soon? It's ironic, but safety barrier posts are in front of every other parking spot in frontof that store, but that's the only one the poor guy parked in that didn't have one. Murphy's Law again, I suppose.
