Mount Saint Helens was quiet as I flew my small plane around the rim of the volcano. Off in the distance a storm is brewing on Mt. Rainier. Clear skys remained at Mt Adams. Things look so beautiful from 10,000 feet. It is December 2008, snow should blanket the area. Instead only a dusting of snow covers the mountain peaks.
