My first winter in Pendleton in 40 years and I am very surprised to see the snow. I don't remember, as a child, ever having snow in Pendleton. Coming from Central Oregon, I found this part of the state to be much, much milder. Today, however, it seems very much like my home at the foot of the Cascades.
