Many people don't know that the Portland area is home to hummingbirds year around. While most birds go south to warmer climes some stay here for the winter. We keep our nectar feeder up year around to give them the energy they need to fine the bugs they need for protien. We have four or five that regularly visit each day. There is one who bullies the others away from the feeder if he is nearby. Please consider putting your feeder back out if you have taken it in for the year.
