They stay even when it snows! There are about 5 or 6 of them that stay until Feb or March, when they migrate somewhere - the coast I think. Then they are back a month later.
Even if I take the bottles away, they are here. They try to feed off the silk flower wreath on the front porch if there are no bottles. I keep the bottles near the house so the syrup doesn't freeze.

say, i was here in my office working when i saw a hummer thinking my junko feeder was for her...had a red top...so i went out that night and got a hummer feeder..sure enough, its back daily!!! think there are Calliope?
