On December 13th at noon, Portland Improv, a performing arts group, set out to cause confusion in Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland. A large mob of people approached the square from different directions and abruptly stopped moving at the same time. As silence filled the square, the spectators were confused and some even joined in. Minutes later, everyone began moving as though nothing happened.
The Portland Freeze was a success and Portland Improv plans to host further events in the future.
