In the far corner of Main City Park there lies a Beastly Hill. This hill is mostly unknown to all of the "regular" sledders, but we being three fourteen year old "pro" sledders, we know of such hills. So the first day when we discovered this beastly hill we were in awe. So two of us, Ali and Laura, went down the hill just to get a feel for the hill, and we ended up at the bottom face down in pain. Laura had a boot missing. We looked back at our trail and saw nothing but shredded boot. The demon fence had eaten it for lunch. The next day Ali awoken with agonizing pain to her left leg. She lifted her pajama pant leg up to only see dark cloudy bruises. Then only a couple hours later we decided to take the long 1.5 hour walk of courage on the Springwater Trail leading us to one place only, Beast Hill. This was now the second day. We climbed to the top of the hill what seemed like Mt. Everest. Then one of the friends that we brought along, Ashley, decided to take a stroll down the hill first. She started out fine but then started turning toward the demon fence. Unfortunately, Ashley crashed. She was half way under the fence (the fence being a foot off the ground). We yelled to her asking if she was okay. No response. We asked again, she got out from under the fence and yelled that she was okay. But her pants weren’t. She came up the hill and we saw her leg sliced, pants and leggings torn. Again the fence had defeated us. But like in all good stories the heroes win at least once. So Laura and Ali took the sled, we were determined to get to the bottom. We get in the sled trembling with fear. We start to go, before we new it we were at the bottom, no harm done. So then we decided that it was the best outcome we could get, so we headed home. The next day we could not stay away from that hill. So we all go back, as Hannah was filming Ali and Laura take the sled. We started out well until we started heading toward the demon fence. Laura bails out before anything happens and leaves Ali to the fence. Ali hit the fence leg first. She was now stuck to the fence, she was being held there by the material on her snow pants, jeans and skin. As she tried to free herself Hannah was on the ground laughing. She was laughing so hard she peed her pants! Ali finally ripped free of the fence which made all the cotton from the snow pants fly everywhere. So now we are writing you this letter hoping you find it as entertaining as we did. We wish you share this story with all of your viewers.
