We seldom see significant snowfall on the beach in Long Beach, Washington, but today we awakened very early to a blanket of three inches of powdery snow. Boreas Inn is pretty in the summertime, but nothing makes it look more beautiful than a few inches of snowfall. I walked our trail to the beach this morning and the tracks of the deer were the only telltale signs of life other those from my boots. After the snowflakes stopped falling, the skies turned brilliant blue and the snowy scene turned into a more lovely wintry wonderland. We are grateful to be surrounded in every season by spectacular beauty on the Long Beach Peninsula.
Facing the beach, through the inn's festive living room, the snow glistens in the sunshine.
