We feed the birds in the winter. This year we couldnt believe that a hummingbird would still be around. We have heard that over time they have lost their sense of navigation. My husband has to set the alarm to get up before daylight to put out the nectar. The hummingbird latches onto the feeder while my husband is trying to put it out. We have to change feeders during the day because of the freezing weather.

I have a hummingbird feeder on the deck of my condo. The hummingbirds are amazing. They are bright green with a ruby red throat....Are they Anna's? From the pictures I think not. I let my feeder go dry after the summer, and yet I saw them come

I thought hummers migrated. They still come to my feeder so i still feed them. It is wonderful to have them visit me even in winter.
