We have had snow nearly all day, but it's as fine as rain. Still, with what we have had in the past week, and in spite of some melting, we still have a 5 to 6 inch accumulation.
We aren't having any wind to this point. I was out on Hwy 30 a bit ago, and it is packed snow. Most people are driving carefully, so there were no problems. The highway is sanded.
The grocery store was packed!! Everyone stocking up, ready to do comfort food as they prepare to hunker down.
I talked to one woman who was buying what she needed for Christmas Eve dinner. They plan dinner for several people and have every intention of having that party no matter what the weather! At least their fingers are crossed that they can!
