These snowflakes were photographed this morning on my window. Color added w/photoshop. I used two extension tubes and a telephoto lens on my digital SLR. The lens can rest right against the double pane window, and focus about 3/4" away with the two tubes on the telephoto lens. Then I cropped the photos and added background color with photoshop. Fun!!
