It's the fifth day of snow sticking and below freezing temperatures in Hood River, Oregon. The city is blanketed with light, fluffy snow... the kind you can move with a shovel or a broom. Icicles are forming, but that is no indication of warm air- It's around 20 degrees at 1 pm today. I am grateful for hard working City workers keeping the roads passable for in-town driving and kind neighbors with snow blowers keeping my sidewalks clear. The other blessing is only a light east wind, which is normal for here because of the local hills and orientation of the Columbia River. PS- See iwindsurf.com for wind reports in The Gorge. Happy Holidays to Everyone!
