Ice from melting snow on roof slowly moving the gutter.

The Gutter Is Down!

After 8 inches of new snow on Saturday, I went out this morning to see if there had been any freezing rain. We had only a trace of freezing rain here at the 500 ft. elevation. There had been icicles forming since Thursday's short thaw, and what little freezing ran we DID get this morning, ran down the slope of our roof, into the gutter. filling the gutter, then freezing. The first image I shot this morning. We went into town for a couple of hours, and what you see in the second two pictures is what greeted us upon our return back home. Thanks to the ice, the gutter is down! Thanks to the blessings of God, our homeowners' insurance will cover the repairs. We're LOVING this weather!
