Well, if our hummers decided to stay the winter, it was up to hubby and me to see that they are fed, right? The last week's weather has presented a real challenge. After several configurations, this one seems to work best: a heating pad wrapped around the liquid bottle and pipe heating tape around the bottom. We only have to thaw the feeding tubes once or twice a day, and Little Hummy stays in a leeward corner of our small balcony. Wish him luck!

We wrap a short string of Christmas lights around it and run an extension cord to that. Works great and looks pretty outside of our kitchen window.

my brother in law in Seattle has been using a baby bottle warmer and so far it has worked great. Thay have Annas year round and we are closer to the Canadian border so only have hummers in the Late winter to early Fall.
