snowing hard in battle ground 3 pm 12/21

snow then ice then snow again

We found a metal garden rack was perfect for breaking the ice off the top of the snow. We live two miles north of Battle Ground, Washington. Normally we would hunkerdown and not worry about snow since we are retired and stocked up with food.
However, our 28 year old grandson lives with us and has to drive to Portland airport where he works. So we "racked" the ice off the snow on the steep driveway so he can get out to go to work with his chains.
