Birdhouse "Snowed In"

ICE AND SNOW CAPTURES ORENCO!

Orenconians are held captive for the second day as weather conditions make it inadvisable to travel, except in emergency situations.
Chains are now required for all Washington County roads.
So, in our little corner of the world, our back deck, here in Hillsboro, I want to report our birdhouse, "SNOWED IN".
Our otherwise proud 12 foot tall bamboo, are now collapsed under an icy blanket. Curly willow and others sharing the same icy fate look on, but can offer no solace, for the time being.
The sleet is falling, making a thick crusty covering to the 8 inches of snow, and is expected to continue through the evening and into tomorrow.
Officials are advising preparedness, know where your flashlights and candles are. (Matches too!)
Call your local utility if you have a power outage as soon as possible.
Stay safe, stay warm. God Bless
