My wife and I love to feed the wild birds in the winter and they give us a great show for our efforts, especially when it snows. It is a great reminder that a few pounds of birdseed and a few cakes of suet can bring them into your backyard in droves to feed. We have seen Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers, Towhees, House Finches, Robins, Flickers, Gold Finches, Juncos, Golden-Crowned Kinglets, Steller's Jays, Scub Jays, Red-Winged Black Birds, and Hummingbirds!
Birds like to eat too!
