The county can't get here to clear the streets and Sylvan gets all the news coverage for its snowfall, but at 700 feet elevation the neighborhoods at the top of Bull Mountain are the first to freeze and the last to thaw! By Sunday afternoon, 12/21, the areas not affected by drift had 10 inches of older snow covered by 1/2" of sheet ice, plus another inch of new snow on top of that. Drifts were up to 20 inches.
