It's been a while since we've experienced snow and ice for an extended period. Portland is a beautiful city in normal times, but in periods of ice and snow, everything large and small takes on a whole new look. Much of the news is about the dangers and inconveniences of these storms, but this is just a look at why some of us love snow and ice. Pictures were taken in the Hollywood District except for the Rose Garden Arena.
