The birds had been hiding from the snow for days and ice storms covered the feeders. The ground was a sheet of ice over a thick blanket of snow. Nothing to do but toss a lot af bird seet onto the ice. Within an hour, the word had gotten around and the entire back yard was animated with birds of all sizes and colors. These are but a few that would hold still just long enough for the camera to focus.
