I used to be happy when ever the snow stuck on the ground and didnt melt at our house.Now the snow is almost up to my knees!(I have long legs,too)
Grandma and grandpa in colorado probobly have had more snow but we are very proud of our Oregonian snow.
Our inside cat was meowing at the back door the other day and I decided to let her out onto a flat space of ice in the back yard.At first she was walking around seeming to be enjoying it then she bolted in between my deep foot prints back to the door and started crying to go back in.
She wasnt used to ever being cold I guess. Niether were my mom,dad and I
when we tried to take a walk down the trail near our house. we had to bundle up really tight.I suppose when it's twenty degrees it should feel cold.
We were able to get back just intime because just about the second our feet hit the front porch it started freezing rain. A few minutes later and we would have been pelted.
I hope we will be able to get more snow and have a winter like this next year.I know that this weather is really bad for parents haveing to troudge off to work,put on chains, and still have to run arrends,but for all us kids who get to skip school and do nothing but play in the snow this is the best time of the year!
