Portland, the gem of the northwest, becomes even more alluring in the glittering afterglow of the recent ice and snow storm. The city is quiet, glistening, but still alive if only behind closed doors. The few who dare to go out are bundled up and ready to get to their usual tasks. Lets face it, we are used to thriving in sopping wetness, alittle snow and ice would never stop us hearty northwesterners.
