Our little family of three in Sherwood decided to stay in the house the first few days of the great artic blast. It was my daughter Korah's first snow, so we spent many times outside getting frozen so she could play in the frozen winter wonderland.
Day 5 of snow rolled around and we were running out of cat food and laundry soap. My husband decided to rough it to Les Schwab on a Friday morning when the snow let up a bit to get chains. The snow continued to dump on us and the temperature was dropping.
Day 8 of the Arctic Blast - Today we managed to make it out of our condo parking lot with a burried car and 16 inches of snow. We slowly drove North through Tigard up to Costco to get some groceries. As we changed lanes near Bi-Mart on 99W our back end slid out beneath us and sent our car into a spin. Wow, that was kind of fun, good thing the other vehicles were keeping their distance... Once we got to Costco I was amazed how the store was still CROWDED. Unbelievable. Many people have turned into Scrooges as the snow gets in their way. I laugh and think its funny. The snow is good for us, it forces us to stay home and spend time with the people who matter most, our families.
We our now safe and cozy in our home, this Christmas will be remembered and treasured in our hearts forever. Merry Christmas to all!
Love, Adria
