A unique welcome home for PFC Banigan USMC, as he returned home from Okinawa, for a 10 day leave before being deployed to Iraq.

Marine gets unique welcome home

PFC Banigan celebrated his first anniversary as a US Marine while serving in Okinawa. After getting a 10 day leave approved for Christmas, his platoon was selected to deploy to Iraq in January, making this leave even more special. His buddies wanted to give him a unique welcome home...something he could think about in the coming months of his deployment. PFC Banigan flew into PDX just a few hours before the weather related problems began. The ride home was uneventful until his neighborhood was within sight. He saw something in the road that, well... just wasn't right! There stood four of his closest friends, prancing around in the middle of the snow covered country road, in nothing more than cowboy hats, boots, and "tighty whiteys"! A memory that will surely bring a smile to his face when he thinks about "the boys" back home.
