With the snow gently covering my tracks as I strolled through the early morning in Salem's Riverfront Park, making new tracks in the fresh powder, I noticed that the new statue of Governor Tom McCall which had been placed only a couple of months ago, standing proudly with a dusted layer of snow. As I looked across the mighty Willamette River to West I saw the shape of the sternwheeler moored up against the dock. Then I noticed a lonesome park bench that sat there empty of park goers but full of white powder. Oh what a beautiful sight to behold on an early work day morning a few days before Christmas.
A stroll through the park.
