With the trunk of my car frozen shut (with presents inside), I had tried to enter it through the back seat. Thankfully, I carry my camera with me wherever I go as when I looked up a deer had come to the end of the car. The doe appeared to be blind in one eye and possibly had not seen me sitting inside the car. She obviously had seen my son, Daniel, as he went inside the house to get some stale bread for her to eat. The deer had actually waited for him to return and remained there. The more I watched this curious beauty i noticed she was blind in one eye, maybe an injury or old age? I am not sure. Many deer seem to roam in my yard here in St. Helens, but this one seemed to like and feel comfortable enough to not only be fed by my son Daniel, but she even later came to him when he called her by making a clicking sound. She even returned again and again through the night, until Daniel told her it was time to go to bed.

Great shot of the deer and your son. We have 3 feet of snow here in Spokane with more on the way!
