The Christmas snow storm has added excitement to our home this year. Our son, Skyler, got home from OSU safely before the storm hit. Our first grandchild, Cadence, is 4 months old and perfect in every way. When the power went out in Gladstone, our daughter, Summer, and her husband, Dale, and baby Cadence came over so they could be warm and cozy. Although the power came back on in Gladstone, where they live, their furnace did not. That meant they should stay with us a little longer - perhaps until Christmas. What a wonderful thing for the new grandpa and grandma to have our empty nest filled up again. Our home continued to have power so we decided to all go sledding in the neighbor's field. Grandma Rhonda and son Skyler cleared the sled run with several passes down the hill with faces full of snow. Summer, Dale and Grandpa Dennis were next in line on the sled run. Grandpa Dennis made a few runs, but was having more fun taking pictures of the rest of us. After many runs down the hill we could hardly wait to come inside and download the pictures. A wonderful time was had by all, especially when we could catch some air under the sled.
