An igloo built by one, made for five

It has been a childhood dream of mine to build an igloo or snow hut that I could actually play in and I finally achieved this goal at 31 years old. ( about 5 adults can sit comfortably inside!) It was a very theraputic way of dealing with holiday and snow stress, and a great way to spend time with my son. I'm going to try for a roof on it tomorrow with the help of some neighborhood kids, but after 4 1/2 hours and a good case of frostbite (I don't have waterproof gloves) I decided the roof is going to have to wait.

Thats totally sweet! Can't wait to see pics with the roof on. Can you maybe zoom out a bit more so that we can see whole structure for a better idea! What a lot of work! Great job!

if you really had a "good case of frostbite" would you really be typing on a computer? sincerely, bob

Thanks for sharing your photo. Your son will always remember the day you made an igloo and so will you.

This is the best igloo built so far because it was made with love and the shot of your son should win a prize! So cute!!
