Yesterday afternoon, a tree fell on my Beetle at my home in Damascus. The Beetle was smashed. At the time, I was out in my other vehicle, a 4 wheel drive truck. I considered myself lucky that I was out, or else both vehicles would have been smashed. Our power had been out all day, but it came on later that evening. It was on for almost an hour when I heard a loud crash! A second tree had smashed my truck. Now both my vehicles are smashed and undriveable, and now I can't make it to Seattle to spend Christmas with my 92 year old grandmother.
Lightning struck in the same place twice

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I don't know what I can do to help, but email me at road2damascus @ gmail.com if you need a hand cutting the trees, finding a cheap car till your insurance comes through, or just need some warm turkey and dressing.

I am very sorry to hear about your vehicles -- there have been so many trees down around, but it is still sad that you had to get 2 big ones down on your vehicles. Still, at least no one got hurt, and you are still here call your grandma for xmas!
